"It is for Freedom that Christ has Set Us Free!"

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36

Please join me in giving our Lord thanks for the clear Christ-honoring devotion of the Founders and defenders of our constitutional republic, established to give men and their families the opportunity to worship freely and pursue the generally free environment we have in America to worship and live in accordance with Godly principles.

Pray also that the rapidly expanding actions counter to this godly heritage will be stopped and reversed on our watch! When our Founders issued the Declaration of Independence on that first Independence day 237 years ago, they said:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government."

Please pray with me that allegiance to this original intent and the godly principles that informed it, will once again be on the hearts and minds of our elected public servants and the legions of local, state, and federal tax-funded employees. Let's pray for a Christ-honoring revival in the halls of government and for a season of rebuilding and restoring America in the direction of its original intent - the one that made us a beacon of hope and freedom and a 'shining light on a hill' for the huddled masses fleeing oppression in far-off lands. May we look in the mirror and begin to beat back the oppression and tyranny at home in pursuit of restoring the liberty that so many thousands died to protect over the past two centuries! And may God receive all the glory!
